Really Loving My Butler Bags!

I have never been the one to have a organized purse. I know, I know..."but you are a organizer." It is true. My purse was my dirty little secret. I would be in full fledge shame when someone would look in my purse and say "wow, aren't you an organizer?"

But now I have found my answer to my disorganized, dirty secret. Enter the Butler Bag by Jen Groover. I had no idea how this simple innovation would change my purse carrying life. I started off with a Butler Bag that I had purchased from Avon. I let it sit around for about 3 months before I said let me try this out. See pics below to see how things changed for the better.

I was pleasantly surprised when I emptied my overloaded disorganized purse into my new Butler Bag. I could finally find all of my stuff. I was no longer embarrassed by my purse. After seeing what all the buzz was about I had to get more. My next Butler Bag was a snazzy orange one. It was big enough for me to put my mini computer into and keep my receipts booklet with me. Plus I was still organized and could see all of my things. Other people could find my stuff as well.

I had a place to put my business cards, makeup and all sorts of goodies. Now it is like an addiction. I only want to carry these great bags. I wish I could get the insert only to convert some of my other bags, but there are things out there for that. Now that I have experienced first hand the wonders of the Butler Bag it will be a cold day in you know where before I go back to being disorganized in my purse!

My newest "baby"!

If you are interested in finally being organized in your purse you can see the latest Butler Bags here. You can also find them at Kmart online. A few other places as well. Kmart only carries the Essential Line. The real leather ones can be found here or below.

So give it a try. I am sure that you will love the Butler Bag like I do!

How I Would Use the HP Mini 110 to Simplify My Life

Tuesday, January 19, 2010
So, I am a part of the Mom Bloggers Club and they have a contest going on about simplifying your life with the HP Mini 110.

I have been thinking about getting a mini computer for a long time. I reason that it could help me get a lot done on the road. My main website www.help-organize-life.com is full of helpful information to get people organized. I would be able to write more articles and research more helpful organizing products without having to drag my larger laptop with me where ever I go or wait until I get home to do my research and writing. I would also be able to blog and twitter more with my friends, family and colleagues. My iPhone is great, but I would rather not have to do writing on it.

I am also the secretary of my local NAPO chapter (NAPO Nashville) and it would be very helpful in the meetings to be able to take meeting minutes right then and there and email it out all before I get home where I would have to go home and type them in and then email them. The HP Mini 110 would help simplify this task and make me much more productive for my chapter.

I am also a professional organizer and having a HP Mini 110 would help me to be able to go to client consultations and input all of their information while I am there with them into my client intake form. I will also be able to take down notes and not have re-enter them when I get home making me more productive and simplifying my work life.

I also have a web design company and it would be really helpful to take a smaller laptop to show quick mock ups of websites for clients and to keep track of my hours during the meeting.

As far as simplifying my home life, I am always online at home on the coach and it would be nice to have something smaller sitting on my lap to watch Youtube videos and other online activities without having a heavy laptop on me. Sometimes I have to look online and get information fast and having to wait for my big laptop to wake up is a hassle. A HP Mini 110 would be very helpful for me to just pop it open and get to my information fast.

So that is how I would use the HP Mini 110 to simplify my life. Comment and let me know how you would use it to simplify your life. Technology is a wonderful thing when you use the HP Mini 110 to simplify your digital life!

Tools to Organize Your Closet

I was looking at QVC today and I came across this wonderful product. I always have clients who want a better way to organize shoes, purses, whatever in their closets. Well, when I saw this item I had to let everyone know about this. This Carousel Closet organizer has so many possibilities. You can organize shoes and purses, or belts and undergarments, or toys and art work. You name it and I believe you can organize it in this "spinning" garment rack. And it is collapsible for easy storage when not in use.

I do not know how many they keep in stock but you need to get your hands on this one if you are looking for a great way to organize your closet. Happy Organizing.

iPhone for Organization

Thursday, January 14, 2010
Well, I have had my iPhone for quite a few months now and I am loving how I can keep everything organized together on it. I use my iPhone to keep my various social networking activities together, I use it for banking, I use it to read books, I use it to listen to music, I use it to access my task lists on Google, and I use it to just unwind. I am loving the Amazon Kindle app for iPhone. I find it is much easier for me to read books on my iPhone. It is weird, but it gives me a sense of accomplishment as I blast with a touch of a finger through the pages. Plus I don't have to buy that big $200+ Kindle from Amazon. The books are much cheaper also. I also use the Pandora app. This is great for me to unwind with and listen to uninterupted music. I am also using the Evernote app which lets me keep all of my notes, voice and text, synced between the iPhone, Mac and PC. And it is free! I am able to stay on top of billing with Freshbooks Minibooks for iPhone.

I can access my PC files with the Livedrive app for iPhone. I can do mobile banking with my banks app for iPhone. I am just loving all of the things I can do to keep organized with my iPhone and not have to carry around a laptop or bulky calendars. This is just the begining. I am constantly on the look out for more of what I can do with my iPhone to help keep me organized electronically.

If you would like to always be ready for tax time let me suggest Shoeboxed. You can sign up with them to have all of your receipts and business cards scanned electronically and then organized automatically for you. And the great thing about it is they have a iPhone app where you can take a picture of the receipt right from your iPhone and it sends it to your account. You don't even have to send in the receipt manually. How cool is that?! If you would like to learn more click the picture below to find out how you can get more organized with your receipts and business cards.

Until next time....Happy Organizing!
